OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove won’t start, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, that means another part of the appliance will have to be replaced. The cause of the issue could be an surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner without heat won’t do much. An oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner won’t turn on if an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to fix these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings are not working. In this case, we know how to repair control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the parts we use for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it could be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen know how to diagnose the reason for the issue and fix it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to repair these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens can have door issues. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can resolve the issue.
